Sukishi Restaurant
Yum!
Popped into this restaurant at Seacon square with my girlfriend, Nuch and had a great meal. We were so stuffed when leaving that we almost had to call a forklift to take us home!
Sukishi is a buffet style restaurant who specialise in Shabu-shabu style Japanese cuisine (although there are other Japanese dishes – tempura, saba teriyaki style etc). For 250 Baht per person you eat as much sushi, shabu, steak, tempura or ice cream as you can fit in your poor stomach.
They do limit your time to 90 minutes so don’t plan on staying here all day!
The layout is similiar to a sushi restaurant with conveyor belts laden with small plates of uncooked vegetables, meats, fish and other delights ready for you to pop into your bowl of soup. The beef was excellent, it barely needed to be cooked at all, so I felt sorry for anyone sat further down the conveyor belt who wanted some because nothing was getting past me! I must have eaten around 20 plates plus of beef (ok it is cut rather thin, only takes a few seconds to cook in your soup bowl)
Anyway highly recommended – beats Shabu-shi who do a similiar offering.
If you like Shabu style cuisine this place is hard to beat!
