Thai word(s) of the day No. 5 – ram M khaan M ( Annoyed )

Annoyed - Ram Kaan - รำคาญ

New word for today is a word that often gets used by expatriates in Thailand. From the frustration trying to communicate logical concepts to the locals to the Bangkok traffic – many things can just make one annoyed in this land of smiles.

Of course for every annoying thing about Thailand there are also upsides -that’s why we stay here after all.

Annoyed – รำคาญ – ram khaan (Medium Tone)

To remember this word I usually think of the Bangkok traffic and specifically one of the busiest roads in Bangkok, and consequently one of the most annoying – Ram kaan hang – the first part of which describes the Thai word “annoyed”
